The 7AM thermal protector is a miniature, quick-acting, thermal-actuating device that uses a special bimetal disc. The 7AM thermal protector prevents overheating in a variety of consumer, industrial and commercial products.It is suitable for direct or indirect overheat protection of electric heating appliances such as motors, transformers, lamps, electrical appliances, instruments and equipment. In the field of thermal protection technology, it is a widely used protection element.

Working principle of 7AM thermal protector

The core of the 7AM small thermal protector is the kick-type bimetal disc. The current passes through the bimetal element. When the current increases or the ambient temperature rises to the set temperature value, the bimetal element moves quickly, opens the contact, and cuts off the circuit. When the device cools down to a safe operating temperature, the bimetal reed quickly resets, the contacts close automatically and power is restored.

5.2 The protector shell shall not withstand strong impact and pressure during use.
